My 5-year-old has had this game system for about 4 years, and she still loves it! She plays it several times a week. There are tons of games to choose from! The "learning games" are too babyish for her now that she's in 2nd grade, but for your average 2-5 year old, they are great! Her 1-year-old sister also loves playing it. We have iPads, Kindle Fire HDs, Nintendo DS and 3DS, Wiis, XBox 360, many game units, and this one continues to hold her attention even though she has so many to choose from. This game system is geared toward pre-school children. It would also be good for some children up through about 2nd grade. My 5 yr old has had one since she was 2 yrs old, and has learned a lot from the games. The cartridges that you purchase separately, help children learn early reading, math, patterns, etc. They enjoy playing them and don't realize they are learning! This is my 4th cyber pocket, 1st lasted almost 2 years my next 2 I bought 1 each for my 4 and 6 year old, those lasted 3 weeks, and 1 quit working so I returned them both, now I am on the 4th one and it has lasted 6 months and still works, kids love it and I am just waiting for it to break again, would have never bought that many but I have over 100 dollars stuck into the games alone, don't waste your money, by a leapstear if you're look for something like this. So frustrating!
