I got Hot Dots for my son to work on his times tables and other math skills without me having to shout out math problems. This works because he can test himself and study the cards by himself. The talking pen is a big hit because it gives you funny sound effects when you are right or wrong. I enjoys the math version so much that I ordered the full comprehensive set and this vocabulary set. Great tool to help study for state tests. Each mini-subject has about 20 two sided cards to quiz the student so there is plenty to keep them engaged.

Great review of academic words. Would help with standardized testing for sure. It is fun for kids to do independently.
