I love that the instruments are brightly colored and fun. It's also fantastic that they store within the drum itself (with space for other instruments; we use the drum to store all the music toys we can, and there's enough room). The drum can be worn around your little one's neck, and my daughter has worn it as a drum, as a pretend container for snacks when she was pretending to be a vendor at a baseball game, and as a snack bowl with easy access so it has more potential than you'd expect!

We've had the toy through three years and two children (who play roughly), and other than a few stickers that my daughter has added to the set, they're like new.

When I got this, it also included a coupon for a free year's subscription to Parents magazine. That was a definite positive, and I enjoyed the magazine not enough to renew it at the end, but enough to read it cover to cover for the year I had it.

I purchased this as a gift for my niece's first birthday. Item lived up to my expectations, and was enjoyed by my niece. My sister sent me a viedo of her drumming away. I'm very happy with my purchase.

I sent it as a Christmas present to my greatgrandson who is 2 1/2 yrs old. He absolutely loved it since he is blind and all the goodies on the drum set lets him feel them while playing the drum. He loves anything musical so this was a great gift.

I bought this drum 'set' for my 2-year old grandson for his birthday. My daughter in-law had seen it when my grandson was playing at a friend's house.

My grandson loved from the start. My wife and I watched him play with it on skype. All the other birthday gifts were second to this toy set. Not only a drum, but a set of musical instruments easily manipulated for his age to develop motor skills and music ability. He was dancing to the egg 'shakers', bells and tambourine while playing with them.

Set appears sturdy enough for a boy to play with somewhat ruff. Drum serves as storage for the set. 1/2 the drum base and its top are transparent to see the inside contents. My son and daughter in-law were delighted to his response to the drum set.

I was told you need to shop around and see if you find it less expensive at a local Wal-mart or Target. Web sites show each has it at local stores.

Money well spent for the toy's long-term potential to entertain and educate.
