I purchased this as a second one for the kids so they each could have one. The design is more slender than the original. Also, the sound volume is louder. Even the buttons are smaller. Overall, I like this one better than the original.

The Leapfrog Tag is a great device. We have other Leapfrog story book products, but this one is nice because it saves all the books onto the pen. The response time is very fast.

This special Toy Story pen is a hit. Same quality as the standard pen, just with added pictures. The instructions stated that you could load 10 books on the pen, but we are currently at 11 and have room for another one. The Leappad Tag system has my 4 year old and 5 year old both "reading" randomly through out the day They have both started picking out site words, and love the games each story has. I would highly recommend this system! I did a lot of comparison shopping for the pen and books, and found Amazon was by far cheaper than most other stores on most books and on this special edition pen.
