I bought this hoping I could use it as an enrichment game for my 2nd graders. After reading the instructions on how to play, I was so thorougly confused I had to re-read them a few times. Finally I called my husband over and we acted out a game as we read the instructions. At the end of the game he pretty much summed it up by saying "Yeah, that's not fun." The thing is, there's way too many things going on for young kids to keep tabs on it all. They have to make pairs, discard cards and flip new ones over simultaneously. By the middle of the game, you have 3 piles of cards in front of you-your discard cards, the equations you've made, and your drawing pile. Plus you have the cards in the middle that you're making equations with. On top of all that, I find the two different kinds of cards-the addends cards and the sums cards are way too hard to distinguish between. They tried to make them look different from each other, but it's too hard to tell them apart at a quick glance. I was really hoping this game would be a big hit in my classroom, but now I'm not even going to teach it to them. It's a shame because teaching with games is a very powerful thing!

This game is a great "centers" activity for 3rd 5th grades. The instructions are complicated (which is why I didn't give it 5 stars), but once you start playing the game it is fast and easy. My 4th graders L O V E this game. When we do math centers they always want Snap it Up included in the rotation.

If you're looking for a multiplication activity for intermediate grades, I highly recommend this one.

I teach a 4-8th grade math mastery class at my school, and we play math games for the second half of class each day. The students really enjoy this game. We also play the addition/subtraction version. It is challenging to them, because they have to come up with the math problems that will equal the target card. They are practicing math facts without just stating memorized facts. It makes them actually think critically through it. Good for Common Core. It did take them a little while to get the hang of it, but they now request to play it quite regularly. I recommend it.

The Snap it up game keeps my son focused on the game while we are playing it. I bought the multiplication version of this and it has helped tremendously. For my son and myself.

I'm a teacher and this game was ALWAYS played in my classroom. You want children to know these facts automatically, so this game helps with this. FUN FUN FUN
