¡Hola, Guadalajara! 280 Speaking Activities Spanish Book Reviews
Tom Alsop is a highly creative Spanish instructor from Butler University in Indianapolis, IN. Each year, he turns the streets of Guadalajara, Mexico, into a conversation laboratory for practicing Spanish teachers in a session called Aventura Cultural. Now you can re-create that same street based adventure for your students using Tom's vibrant photography and creative methodology that combine to lead students to develop patterns of communication that they WANT to form just because the photos and contexts are so interesting. Querer es poder, says the old Spanish proverb (Where there's a will, there's a way.) and this is just one more of Alsop's 300 supplementary titles that makes that lesson all the more clear. Alan Garfinkel, Professor Emeritus of Spanish and Education, Purdue University.
