Other than the plastic being a bit brittle and the head sitting at an awkward angle I have no complaints. Definitely not something for a kid that is rough with their toys though. If you get sick of digging the bits out of the block remember you can just soak it in water and the block will come off easier.

My 4 & 5 year old worked on this fossil project for homeschool and they loved it! It took them several hours to excavate the fossil bones but they were so focused that it amazed me. They enjoyed this project from start to finish. Both of their fossils are now on display on top of the book shelf. Money well spent in my opinion.
