I bought this item for my 3 yr old son whom has severe oral aversion and oral motor difficulties. The book offers some very good ideas and describes the methods clearly and with illustrations. The product itself did not seem very sturdy initially, but after several uses it has proved itself both useful and sturdy. Using the bite and chew tip, I am able to desensitize him into tolerating a more textured attachment. He now accepts the preefer and brush tips. Since we began using this my son has been drooling less and is able to tolerate more texture on his tongue and lips. I would recommend this to any parent of a child with oral motor delays. It is easy to use and easy to clean.
