We first saw this in a catalog and thought it would be great for our 4 yr old son. Similar items we saw in other catalogs did not have as many opening compartments or the astronauts and aliens, nor did we find any other rocket ships on amazon that seemed to be as nice as this one so we were thrilled to learn we could order this through Amazon. We were not disappointed. Our son insisted on taking it out of the box as soon as he unwrapped it and has been playing with it almost continually for the past two days. He loves opening the three levels, putting things in and taking them out, flying the rocket around the house and having lots of adventures. This was probably the hit gift this Christmas.

My son just received this toy as a gift for his 3rd Birthday. He's thrilled! The space ship is adorable with the two astronauts and three aliens (or as he calls them aweeaons). He's already creating new stories and adventures for them to have together. The moon buggy is a plus and all the figures fit inside (one at a time). He's flying the spaceship all over the house and insists that the moon buggy and at least one aweeons join us on any trip away from the house. Well made toy, and I forsee many years of adventures with it. Love IT!

Best Deals for 2 in 1 Space Rocket

My 3 yr old son really really wanted a rocket ship toy and the reviews for this one were great, and he definitely was excited to open this package and play with the rocket. He'd be devastated if we took it away. BUT...he'd play with it much more if it didn't have a bunch of problems: (1) The little moon car doesn't fit into any of the compartments on the rocket unless you twist and turn it and jam it in sideways. There is a door/hatch that opens up and it seems like the little car should be able to drive right up it and into the ship, but it doesn't fit at all into that bottom compartment. Stops the play right there. (2) None of the figurines stand upright. You have to kind of toss them into the compartments on their sides. Again, makes playing with them difficult. (3) Finally, the compartments are really hard to open. Usually my son has to ask an adult to open them. So, again, the play stops. Forget trying to detach the launcher (an advertised feature). That is super hard and even harder to re-attach. I feel like this rocket is a cheap spin off of the CP Toys rocket which we recently saw at a friend's house and which has none of the problems I just described. My son likes to hit the "3-2-1-blastoff" button over and over but that's about all he does with this rocket. He likes doing that, but not worth $35.

I'm writing my first review of any product on Amazon, because this toy is...the...best. It has inspired my 2yr old son to imagine that he works on the moon and brings me back moon-cake daily (love it. Push the button and it says "3,2,1 Blast off..." followed by the sound of it taking off. Durable and fun. The extra toys inside (little car and people) are average... nothing special. But the rocket is completely awesome.

When I ordered this rockship I thought I was paying alot for a medium size rocketship. But when I got in in the mail this was MUCH bigger then I thought it was going to be. I have not taken it out of the box yet but the size and the real rocket sounds makes this toy seem really cool! I am going to try and submit a picture of the toy still in the box with a 24 oz cup next to it so show how big the toy really is! The 2 human characters dont have alot of detail to them but the 3 aliens are colorful and cute. I wish the rocket said more than just the countdown but overall I would say you def. get your money's worth with this toy! I'm excited to see my son play with it!
