I have just two of these long vowel phonics readers: Jane and Babe, and Rube and the Tube. The pictures are gorgeous bright, colorful, endearing and fun. The text is excellent simple enough for this reading level, fun, engaging, interesting, and slightly more challenging with a little longer sentences. Many so-called "early readers" are way too complex for true beginning readers. These book is excellent! Paperback with bright, glossy pages.
