Great party favor, but as far as using the tongs, my three year old son hasn't actually used them. I think the way the teeth are waved and the fact that they're such a thick plastic isn't very conducive to actually grabbing things. There isn't much "spring" or push back to the tong either. So he ends up using them with both hands and then getting frustrated. I would only buy them again for maybe a party favor, but definitely wouldn't buy them again for Montessori work or for fine motor skill practice definitely getting sugar tongs and regular tweezers and just using with supervision for work in rice, pom poms, etc. These just don't cut the mustard. And I just want to note that this is NOT a throw off on Learning Resources stuff in general because that brand of toy is AMAZING. We have LR scissor scoops which are amazing and great as gifts, as well as their magnetic truck blocks and a whole host of other toys from Learning Resources which are ALL amazing. This is my first and only disappointment with LR.

We received the Gator Grabber Tweezers for the month of August. I knew Isabella would have a blast with these tweezers from the moment I laid eyes on them. She's into small items that she can easily grasp with her tiny hands, and the Gator Grabber Tweezers are perfect for that. The bucket {with a cute, green handle} comes with 12 tweezers that she can pick up things with. This helps develop her fine motor skills and the pincher grasp often used in school activities {writing, drawing, etc}.My daughter doesn't quite use them for their designated purpose. She loves lining things up, and this was no different. I have no doubt that she will eventually catch on to "grabbing" with these adorable gator tweezers!
The colors are eye-catching and sure to be loved by toddlers everywhere! Isabella was highly amused by the various colors included! Her favorite color is purple. :)
Gator Grabber Tweezers are recommended for kids ages 2-5. My daughter is almost 2 1/2, and she thoroughly enjoys playing with these colorful tweezers. She likes simple toys, and I was happy to see her so engrossed in a product that will help her fine tune her fine motor skills.

My son and his cousins love their Gator Grabber Tweezers by Learning Resources. We have the regular tweezers by LR and they're great for kids but these ones are especially designed for precision in picking up finds for little hands. My 2.5 year old loves that these fit perfectly in his little hands and are easier than the bigger ones. The design is so cute and I love that they're so colorful and not just one color. These are a great addition to your activity closet/area. You'd be surprised how often these come in handy when put a few in your diaper bag/car/backpack for your child's adventures. There is always a need for them!I suggest getting the Learning Resources Jumbo Magnifying Glasses with these. Great combo! We use ours ALL THE TIME.
