I ordered two of these for my boys. When they arrived I was impressed with the glass quality and they seemed sturdy. However within a week the frames had fallen apart the plastic had separated apart and the glass had fallen out. I now have two magnifiers in pieces, which I am going to attempt for the second time to repair with super glue. Only given two stars because the glass works, as opposed to some which don't really enlarge.

Every kid should play with a magnifier at some point, and this magnifier is a good one to play with: it's big and it's magnifying, what else do you need?

I've just received it, so can't make any claims regarding durability, but it looks solid, and even if glass will fall out at some point, it won't change a thing in my opinion.

Does what it is supposed to. The retaining ring fell off right away, but a little super glue had it better than new!!

We purchased this magnifier for our 8 yr old as part of his detective/spy costume. It has held up to usage by children from the ages 2 to 10 with only a few scratches. I have no complaints regarding this product.

Does the job as a child's toy but the lens keeps popping out and I had to tape it in place so that my daughter could play with it. You get what you pay for.
