When I first purchased this item I wasn't sure if it would stand up to a child opening/closing the book while getting autographs from characters at Disney World (being that it is a spiral bound book I was afraid the pages would rip out easily) but after using it, I am happy to say it's durable and my daughter (6 years old) loved the cover and drawing on the inside pages. We had another autograph book (glue bound) for my other child and that does not hold up to the constant open/closing of the book.
