I got this for my 7 year old daughter and she loved it. A secret book just for her! My only problem is the lock. The lock is small and the two rings that the lock hooks together are small so getting the lock back on is too hard for her; she has to ask me for help. It does come with 2 keys which is great; I put one away as an extra right away. And since the key is tiny, I attached hers to a larger key chain. The book binding is very sturdy and the whole feel of the book is chunky and solid. It's adorable and I would buy it again.

Very cute diary/journal. The mermaid is adorable. The pictures on the inside cover are adorable. My niece did not have any difficulty with the key/lock which she loves since she can keep her entries "private." Her mom put the second key away just in case her daughter's key is lost. Cute gift.
