I've always wanted a decorative globe. My fiance got me this for my birthday and I love it! It's so unique and I can't recall seeing another one like it. The compass mounted under the globe in the base is a nice touch. It looks great on my desk in our home office. Keep in mind it is relatively small not like your larger scale globes.

I purchased this globe as a retirement gift for my supervisor. It was much prettier in person. She was impressed that we (the group) purchased something so nice. It was within our means and looked worth a lot more that we paid for it.
