This "Healing Words" product inspires me to focus on healthy ideas, positive thinking, comfort, joy, and personal wellness. It's perfect for having an "internal" dialogue with yourself or for leaving encouraging messages for a loved one to find (say on the refrigerator or other steel surface). I enjoy using this kit with the "Haiku" word kit tiles because the natural, peaceful themes are compatible.
More enjoyment can happen when family members or friends or party guests join you in creating magnetic poetry, and / or you add words from other, "unrelated" word packs--such as putting this kit with the "Office Poetry" one or the "College" one! [There's a wide variety of other word kits to explore! To see more themed products, just search Amazon or FatBrain Toys for "Magnetic Poetry." Also, visit the excellent Magnetic Poetry website, where you can try some word kits online as web games. Then, you can decide if these products suit your tastes or interests. Be sure to visit the other intriguing products that the Magnetic Poetry company produces. Please note: some of the "Magnetic Poetry" word kits are designed for "adults only," so please read product information carefully, especially if you are shopping for children. The company does make some age-appropriate magnetic word games for children.]
Here's a quick sample of words that you can encounter in the "Healing Words" word titles kit:
inspire; love; serenity; bless; mend; safe; hope; remedy; courage; recover; strong; eternity; choice; change; meditate; birth; sustain; listen; pray; peace; compassion; faith; doubt; weary; chaos; challenge; relief; laugh; medicine; water; grace; warm; profound; transform; gratitude; treatment; possible; endure; trust; nourish--to name just a few, and various parts of speech that can be combined to create full sentences.
**If you buy more than one word kit, you will note that each word kit comes with a set of common words that appear as repeats if you own multiple kits. I like this though because it allows me to create longer pieces of poetry or imagery strings when I am in the mood.**
This particular version of Magnetic Poetry makes a great little "thinking of you" gift for someone who needs some cheering up, some encouragement, some soul-hugging comfort. Using this kit with the kit that comes with the stand allows for more expression, creativity, and interaction. A "steel" lined journal can be purchased for Magnetic Poetry's website, and I imagine that it also would be a helpful product for users who were confined to beds or chairs. The journal would be something that they could hold and work with in such situations.

Overall I am pleased. Some minor issues: for some reason the magnetic polarity in some words are opposite, so that they repel other words (especially those from other kits). And not enough connecting words to make this a good "stand alone" set. You'll need the basic set too.Best Deals for Magnetic Poetry Magnetic Poetry Healing Words
I am a mental health therapist, and have a huge metal filing cabinet that I cannot get rid of in my office. I decided to use that space constructively, and picked up this set along with the basic set. I do my notes in session with my clients, and it gives them a great opportunity to use the words to create phrases and poems while I complete my paperwork at the end of sessions. It is a fun thing that can also give clinical data. The word variety could be better for this purpose, for some words relevant to mental health are missing. I would love if there were a "Mental health" or "Therapy" magnetic poetry, but this is the next best thing.Honest reviews on Magnetic Poetry Magnetic Poetry Healing Words
I wanted to get a set of Magnetic Poetry that had positive words without being overwhelmingly "chirpy", and this set is perfecta nice mix words focusing on general well-being and inner peace. Perfect compliment for any other set (my other one is the Haiku set).Find helpful customer reviews and review ratings for Magnetic Poetry Magnetic Poetry Healing Words
This review required me to rate "this toy." It is for adults/teens, and I would not consider or label this a "toy," but I guess the person that bought this gift for me might have gotten it from a toy supplier...?Anyway... I love magnetic poetry words. I like to write in general, as well as poems and this is great not only to help as a sort of "refresh button" on my mind for writer's block, but also is great to walk past, and be reminded to "write," even when I don't have the time to.
The best thing about this particular set: Healing Words, is that all of the words are positive words, or neutral filler words.
I have a few incurable, many-times-debilitating illnesses, that constantly badger at my natural optimism, and people in life that do the same.... This was a wonderful gift for me to help my creative, artistic mind get back some hope and joy in the process of a new creation with each word simply "moved."
I recieved this the 25th of Dec., 2011, just so you know how long I've been using this set.
The pieces did not break apart completely smooth, so I have a few words that look like shards, but so far the actual letters have not come off, so I can deal.
The only other thing is that the filler words are not complete... I mean yes, they came with all the correct pieces, as listed, but ones like: "y," "ed," "s", "ing," etc., -there aren't enough of.
What there isn't at all, and could really be useful are:
"ily," "ly," "th," "ion," and others that one would add to the end of words.
Also a full: who, what, where, when, why, and how.
This set only came with:
who, when, there, here,& how, as far as being close to the fore-mentioned ideal the "w's" list.
Why put the word "water," and not "fire?" Fire CAN be used positively, as well as: "morn, morning," to go with the "night," that is in set, and the word "mourn," because that is part of ALL healing. Some others that would be great: "tomorrow," "wash," "aspire," "ambition," "came," "ground/ed," "earth," "feed," "stand," "tree," "tall....".
Just trying to help the creators improve & expand outside the "box." I am thankful for this particular set still!
