I bought the red blood cell model and the related models for bacteria, virus, and animal cell for my young son who has taken a big liking to cells for some reason?! First of all, all of these models are very, very well madethey are mostly solid flexible plasticthey have heft, and they are not going to break under any circumstancesthe parts all fit together greatand are very informativethe only thing, about the red blood cell in particular, that is no fault of the manufacture, is that, as it turns out, red blood cells are super simplisticthey have no nucleus, or any other discernible cell partsI guess that they only float around moving oxygen with their hemoglobin, and that is about all, so there sin't really much to do with the model, because it is simply sectioned to show the inside containing hemoglobin molecules within the cytoplasm. My son still likes it a lot though, and enjoys looking at it and discussing the red blood cells function within the bodyso it is still a good add if you are going for some of the other models. The white blood cell has all of the standard cell parts to go along with it, and the virus is pretty cool too, although the little red balls on the outside are a bit easy to dis-attach and impossible to re-attach without superglue. The bacteria is very simple also with the outer membrane, and inner genetic material, but still great tools to teach your kids with.

Well made and prompts desire to learn more. Easy for my seven year old to put together. This is his first choice when picking a toy.
