My 14-month-old (the owner) loves banging the blocks together and they fit perfectly in his hands. He has matched a couple pieces, but I think it's more luck than skill.
His (almost) 5-year-old (female) cousin loved putting the puzzle together. It was challenging enough (turning the triangle the right way, finding the rectangle, etc), but not so hard she'd be eager to play for an extended time. Her 2 and 1/2-year-old brother loved it and was occupied much longer! Their mother even commented that she needed to get one because it "would be the perfect Church toy." She's right, it's small and would keep a toddler quiet for a nice chunk of time.
One clarification, it is not a farm puzzle. As you can see in the picture, there is a lion (oval & felt), sheep (circle & cotton), elephant (square & rubber), horse (rectangle & velvety), and duck (triangle & feathers).
I bought this item for $16.00, I think Plan's suggest RP is $24.00, so I'm thrilled with the bargain. I've really been on the look out for great wooden puzzles (like I had as a kid). After trying three Melissa and Doug puzzles (both pegs and chunky) I was really glad to see Plan make a puzzle. This is far superior to Melissa and Doug puzzles, and much better quality.

This is a unique and multi-sensory puzzle. My 19 month old enjoys the challenge and it is helping her work on colors, shapes, and spatial relations. The textured patches are small and not too different, but still a nice feature. This could be better if the paint were brighter and the pictures clearer (and cuter) and if there were more blocks included. Even at the twelve dollars I spent on yoyo, I felt it was a tad pricey but the wood is smooth and the company has good values. I like that the blocks aren't too heavy so she can play with one pair on the changing table without clunking herself. :)
