I didn't see this as a great lesson in environmentalism or anything like that. It's a stupid toy cockroach; and when the sunlight hits it the thing shakes all over and wiggles around a bit. It's silly, but for a couple bucks it made a great stocking stuffer (and I knew they didn't already have one)
My college aged kids thought they would be funny to freak out their room-mates. :)
