My 2 year old daughter loves Buddy! She takes is everywhere with her and we get so many compliments about what a cool toy it is. Her 4 year old sister loves to unbuckle each side for her, its such a wonderful fine motor toy. She also enjoys zipping it and packing it up with all her toys. The shapes and numbers on the straps are a wonderful teaching tool as well, we quiz our 2 year old to find each shape and number. This toy was a great investment!!!

My toddler is obsessed with buckles and so I thought she would enjoy this backpack. I was right! I love that it's portable, doesn't have any pieces that can get lost, and can hold her interest for car rides, waiting for appointments, etc. She can only do the buckles up, so I have to undo them for her. (Which is ok by me)

I thought that the straps on the side buckles would be annoyingly short. I find them tough to manipulate, but my daughter doesn't seem to mind. Maybe they are ok for little fingers? And, it's diffcult to mis-match them, so there's less frustration. (the buckles are of several different types, so not all would work with each other)

Overall, a unique, fun toy that is engaging for toddlers, especially ones who are obsessed with buckles. Also quite well-made-the backpack compartment has a zipper inside so nothing falls out. The furry polyester-like fabric isn't my favorite, but it's thick and durable, and doesn't stain. Very pleased with this purchase, it would make a great first birthday gift.

My 19 month old LOVES (it is too bad I can't bold that word and make it 96 point font) Buddy! I ordered Buddy out of desperation because my son had become obsessed with the buckles on his booster seat and stroller. It actually just arrived today and, from the moment I gave the toy to him, he has not put it down. Oh the screaming at dinnertime when he was forced to leave Buddy on the floor! I love the fact that this toy can also be used as a bag to carry additional toys. I am actually looking forward, for once, to going to the doctor tomorrow, since Buddy can go with us. I may put a few books and a toy car inside, but I don't think they will be needed. I am so happy with this toy that I seriously want to stop random people on the street and tell them about it. As for delivery of the toy, that was impressive as well. I am a Prime member and have been spoiled with the automatic 2-day shipping on most of my orders, so I was disappointed when this toy wasn't a Prime item. I apparently had no reason to be upset because it still arrived in 2-business days even though I selected the 3-5 business days shipping option. I was a little hesitant on how to rate this toy for durability since my son only just got it. I was a bit conservative since a few of the buckles seem to be a bit flimsy, which concerns me that they may not last as long as the others. I am not worried, because even if those buckles break, there are plenty of other ones on the toy that will surely entertain.

The backpack is very cute (just like Dora's backpack except for the color) and the buckle are soft and easy to clasp. I would recommed it for 2 years plus though as the straps are a little short for a child under 2 yr. For under age 2, I would highly recommend Buster toy or the turtle; my 14 month loves buster toy and can buckle the straps on her own. I have both Buster and Buddy. My older one plays with Buddy.

My 2 year old loves this,and wears it around even at home. Only thing is that one of the buckles is useless because it won't stay buckled. Overall, though, very cute backpack! We've even gotten several positive comments when we go out and he is wearing it.
