The metal compass works great for my job and the fact that it has a mechanical pencil attached to the compass is really useful. However, after the second use I dropped the kit from a very small distance and the case broke off. Its not very durable.

My daughter has this kit for school but I recently borrowed it to plan a woodworking project. It worked great and made the job fun. Easy to get everything back in the case as well; I figured it would be like solving a puzzle.
