This is a very nice globe. A slight metallic finish, slight relief, and brown hues give this globe a warm, rich look. Globe has good detail, but a lot of the writing is so small that you might also want to buy a good magnifying glass. This globe is a little more expensive than the others ($150-ish) but worth it if you also want a nice piece of "furniture" that will be prominently displayed.

I purchased this globe for my adult son's birthday. Our family was impressed with the real wood base, the quality of the hand work on the globe and the up to date geography facts. With the bronze color, it is also a beautiful piece of decoration in any home.
